"Experimentally ILL Radio's Podcast" #6 + 24 "Experimentally ILL A.M." dauky morning show episodes + 8 original weekly Sunday "Experimentally ILL Radio on UNregularRadio.com" episodes = the definitive Experimentally ILL Radio #38.
ExperimentallyILL.com for more, now based in ILL's independant studio!
ILL's original UNregular Radio show and film festival co-founder/host/producer Mike O'Toole (Michael Phelan O'Toole) flys solo, as ground for ILL's own Podcast Network continues to be broken, hosting an informal sitdown with filmmaker/musician/artist and supporter of the DIY podcast effort, Rod Webber, and his childhood friend and "My America" film actor, poet and musician Joseph James Bellamy!
Though original co-host/co-producer Lawrence Hollie is tied up at work at a TV station, 1/2 of the "Experimentally ILL' film fest kicks it with the originators of "Reel Fest," once featured together in a 2011 Boston Sunday Globe piece called "Area Filmmakers Roll Out Reel Alternativrs To Big Festivals" - talking FIY film, Boston art at large, the continuing antics of little-person WWE wrestler Tiny The Terrible and his "Ghetto Altered Heros" project (the crew plays a clip featuring actor John Amos as Tiny The Yerrible's "F.U. Uncle" (Don't miss ingo about Rod Webber's documentary film "A Man Among Giants" which chronicle's Tiny The Terrible's run for Mayor of Pawtucket, RI screening at the 2013 Pawtucket Film Festival on September 26th, 2013), Joe Bellamy's take on Tiny and the comic book culture, Rod Webber's work with, and thoughts on The Dropkick Murphys (Boston punk rock history, Mighty Mighty Bosstones), his choice for Batman (re: "Batfleck") politics, punk rock and more! Hear how Joseph's brother's Batman script got optioned, but he decided to independantly produce it. Batman Actor sued Joker Actor! Hear the crew talk of Joe's comic book tats, too!
Hear how the storyline of Rod Webber's film "Monkfish," featuring Troma's Lloyd Kaufman (creator of The Toxic Avenger) and Tiny The Terrible, parallels Tiny's recent legal battle to clear his name over a home invasion by a doppelgänger!
The crew also speak at length on Webber and Bellamy's collaboration on "My America," a fictional film which incorporates documentary footage, commenting on race relations in America today. They play audio of the film's trailer and speak to a supporting actor in the film, Luke Bellamy via phone. Also, don't miss hearing Joseph James Bellamy speak on what it means to tap into the playful side of your brian in being an artist, and inspiring others to be fearless in their pursuits, creative or otherwise! ...And take note of Joe's sex toy invention he is trying to sell. Keep taps on Rod and co at RodWebber.com
